What to Expect with Microneedling
During your microneedling treatment, your skin will first be numbed with a topical anesthetic and then cleansed to prepare for the specialized pen. Once the StrataPen is placed on the skin, tiny, sterile needles will go through the epidermis and dermis in a controlled and precise technique. These needles cause micro-injuries, which increases collagen and elastin production that results in healthier looking skin. As your skin continues to heal, the results will continue to improve.
Microneedling is best for those who desire skin rejuvenation on their face, neck, back, décolletage, arms, and hands. At CDAM, we typically recommend two to three treatments every two to four weeks for optimal results. However, this varies for each patient depending on their specific skin conditions.
