What Is Daxxify®?
Daxxify® is the latest botulinum toxin injectable to be approved by the FDA in August 2023. When you receive Daxxify® injections you are not just receiving a treatment that significantly reduces signs of aging but are receiving the most up-to-date youth-restoring treatment out there. Daxxify® uses a unique peptide-powered formulation to keep you looking younger, longer. The active ingredient in Daxxify® is a purified form of the botulinum toxin type A protein. Because Daxxify® uses this peptide to stabilize the botulinum toxin type A protein, it does not require any human or animal byproducts, unlike other neurotoxins on the market.
Should I get Daxxify®?
If you have noticed an increase in signs of aging on your face, like fine lines, wrinkles, frown lines, crow’s feet, or forehead wrinkles, you may be a great candidate for Daxxify® injections. You may not qualify for Daxxify® injections if you have an allergy to botulinum toxins, are pregnant, or planning to become pregnant.
What to Expect with Daxxify®
Daxxify® sessions are minimally invasive and very quick. Depending on the area being treated, a session can last for as little as 15 minutes. Our highly skilled, board-certified dermatologists inject Daxxify® into the facial muscles using a fine gauge needle. The neurotoxin in Daxxify® works by blocking the signals between the nerves and muscles in your face, causing them to relax. This more relaxed facial posture smooths fine lines and wrinkles. You may feel a slight pinch during the injections, but most patients find the experience to be tolerable. You may request a topical anesthetic if it makes you more comfortable.
Daxxify® Results
Results of Daxxify® injections will start to become noticeable 2-3 days after injections but will reach their peak around 14 days after treatment. Daxxify® is an incredibly long-lasting cosmetic injectable with results lasting for up to 6 months. Side Effects of Daxxify®
The most common side effects of Daxxify® occur immediately following treatments and are rather mild. Some soreness or bruising at the injection site can occur but should go away after a day or two. You will want to avoid putting pressure on the treatment site for at least 5 hours afterward to ensure the product stays in the correct place.
