Halo Facial for Acne Scars: Transforming Your Skin’s Texture

Posted on August 21, 2023

Millions of people struggle with acne every year and with acne comes acne scarring. And unfortunately, acne scarring can be difficult to get rid of. Luckily, there is a treatment that can diminish the appearance of acne scars and give you the smooth, brilliant skin you’ve been looking for. What’s this treatment? The Halo Hybrid Fractional Laser!

By combining the best parts of both non-ablative and ablative laser treatments, you get a great treatment option for acne scarring.

What is Halo?

The Halo™️ Hybrid Fractional Laser delivers both non-ablative and ablative wavelengths at the same time. It focuses energy and heat at the skin’s deep collagen layer to stimulate growth while leaving the surface of the skin completely unharmed, so you don’t have to deal with the long recovery time that often comes with ablative laser treatment. By stimulating collagen growth, you improve the overall quality of your skin and reduce the appearance of acne scarring.

Who is A Good Candidate for Halo Facial?

Anyone who is struggling with acne scars, uneven complexion, and/or fine lines and wrinkles is a good candidate for Halo laser treatment. It works on all skin types. As long as you don’t have an active acne breakout, open sores, or used Accutane in the past year, you should be a perfect candidate for Halo treatment.

What Should I Expect From Halo Facial?

Halo laser treatment is customized for each person to ensure it’s right for your skin type and your skin concerns. By giving you customized treatment, you get the results you’re looking for.

During the treatment, a topical anesthetic cream will be applied to your face. Once the face is numb, the treatment will take place. The laser handpiece will be applied and passed over the face. It will take approximately 30-45 minutes.

As the treatment takes place, the handpiece will continue to measure the temperature of the skin and automatically change the specifications to treat your skin. The handpiece also has an integrated cooling feature to ensure your skin stays cool and comfortable.

After the treatment, downtime is typically about 2-3 days. You’ll want to moisturize the skin the following day and avoid makeup for at least a day. You will likely be able to return to your full skincare routine after about a week.
